How I Would Book WWE’s Brand Spilt
Hello everyone! Welcome back, today we are not going to be doing predictions. Today I am gonna rebook the WWE Brand Spilt, starting this year. There is a lot we have to go through so please stick with me. So first let’s go through the shows.
Shows
While RAW and Smackdown are the main shows and NXT is developmental. Well in my universe, NXT would be a Peacock exclusive like it use to be on the WWE Network. So in it’s place, kind of, should be Extreme Championship Wrestling, with Paul Heyman in charge with his hand picked staff. If we want to move it to after 10 so we can do the hardcore stuff we know and love that’s fine but I’m gonna do it at 8 for a 2 hour show. So RAW on Monday with Adam Pearce as GM, ECW on Wednesday, yes moving it to Wednesday, with Heyman as GM and Smackdown with Stephanie as GM. All shows 8-10 and all different ways of booking without Vince’s input. That’s right, no Vince involvement.
Wrestlers
I am doing this as a free for all. I do not care about who is signed where, let’s pretend together. This is my universe where anyone can show up anywhere. Okay let’s go.
Story
On the last day of 2021, WWE announces a draft. A video goes up on their social medias and it’s Vincent Kennedy McMahon. Vince says “Since 2016 we have been doing a brand extension. Now we think we need to switch it up. Effective immediately, NXT will be a Peacock exclusive and from now on, ECW will be airing on USA every Wednesday headed up by Paul Heyman. Smackdown will be headed up by the Billion Dollar Princess, my daughter Stephanie McMahon and heading up RAW will be former NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion Adam Pearce. Stay tuned for more news.” Later that day, a video get published on the YouTube Channel exclusively and it’s Stephanie. The video is titled “Smackdown Is Dead”. In it Steph explains “As of January 2022, Smackdown will be renamed to WWE Thunder. No more Smackdown”.
Vince later announces Day 1. Day 1 is used as a set-up for the draft. Pearce selects Rey Mysterio as his representative, Steph chose Seth “Freakin” Rollins and Heyman selected AEW Wrestler Jon Moxley. This is how the card would go
Day 1
The Usos defeated RK-Bro to become the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Champions
Charlotte Flair defeated Becky Lynch to become the WWE Undisputed Women’s World Champion
Liv Morgan defeated Rhea Ripley, Nikki A.S.H and Bianca Belair for a shot at Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania
Edge defeated The Miz, Sheamus and Montez Ford to come out #30 in the Royal Rumble
Seth defeated Rey and Moxley so Steph gets the first draft pick, this is also Moxley’s return to WWE
Brock Lesnar defeated Roman Reigns, ending his record breaking run, to become the WWE Undisputed Universal Champion
The next night on RAW, Paul Heyman comes out and says “Until ECW is back on the air, I can show up anywhere. So, I’m going to introduce you to someone you may know.” Lesnar come out, holding both belts. Heyman tells the truck to cut the music while Lesnar is still on the ramp. Brock looks confused. Heyman tells him “Not you Brock. Him”. Wild Thing plays as Mox comes out and beats Lesnar down. Heyman officially turns on Brock.
It’s January 29th, 2022, it’s time for the Royal Rumble PPV. Mickie James shows up unannounced and wins the women’s rumble while Kenny Omega shows up in the men’s rumble but Edge throws him out last to win.
Elimination Chamber stays the same.
At Stand and Deliver, Bron Breakker defeats Dolph Ziggler to win the NXT Championship.
Night 2 of WrestleMania ends with Brock Lesnar vs Edge. Edge wins and Christian returns and they reunite the team.
The next night on RAW all the champions come out. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Edge, WWE Women’s World Champion Charlotte Flair, WWE World Tag Team Champions The Street Profits. Adam Pearce also comes out and explains how most of the championships would look a little different. He explains Edge would be RAW champion, the Street Profits would float between all the shows and so would Charlotte. This would also mean whatever show their opponent was on, they are now on. The next week, when ECW debuts, the draft will start.
RAW week 2 of the 30th season, the draft starts with Thunder with the first overall pick, ECW with the second and RAW with the third. Each Round is three picks each with 20 rounds to get a base. Stephanie selects first overall, Seth Rollins. Paul Heyman selects second, Jon Moxley. Adam Pearce selects Christian. Paul Heyman comes out a little later, skipping the line and selecting Shotzi Blackheart as his second pick. Steph and Adam run out onto the ramp in shock. Pearce shocks everyone and selects current NWA World’s Champion Nick Aldis. Steph stands their, jaw dropped, slowly walks up to the podium and announces she selects Rich Swann for Thunder. The last round of the night, Stephanie comes out and announces she picks Randy Orton for Thunder. Heyman selects Tamina and Adam selects AJ Styles. RAW ends. One more round takes place before midnight. An exclusive on YouTube, Steph picks the Street Profits, Heyman selects Liv Morgan and Pearce selects Cody Rhodes.
Wednesday is the premiere of ECW on USA Network. Steph starts the show off with her 5th pick, Chad Gable, Heyman selects Bobby Lashley and Adam selects R-Truth. A little later, Adam skips the line and selects Abyss, his WWE debut. Stephanie walks out and screams at Pearce and he walks to the back. Stephanie selects Ronda Rousey. Paul comes out next with a devilish smile and selects Shayna Baszler. Paul then returns at the end of the show and selects Sasha Banks, Adam comes out and selects Jeff Jarrett and it ends with Steph so frustrated she says she selects Charlotte Flair. ECW ends.
