An Open Letter

On the morning of Friday June 24th, 2022, I saw in my news aggregator my fiancée’s rights are slowly being chipped away. Since 1973, jane Roe v Henry Wade was a landmark decision of the United States Supreme Court, which gave women the right to an abortion when they wanted one. This decision did not come lightly and was never seen as trivial by anyone. This was held up in 1992 during the Planned Parenthood v Casey decision.

During Donald Trump’s first 4 years in the White House, he packed the lower courts and towards the end, he added 3 more new Supreme Court Justices. On May 2nd, 2022, Politico released a leaked first draft from the Supreme Court. With a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade, effectively making abortion illegal in the US once again.

As we recede back into the 1970’s version of women’s rights, I would like to officially announce Weathers Media stands for a woman’s right to choose and we are calling on all of you. Call your senators, tweet them, DM them, tell them we need to keep Roe v Wade intact.
